On the afternoon of the 14th of September 2011, around 25 wildfires were reported to be burning in the Province of Haskovo, Bulgaria. This information is sourced from the first announcement by the District Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection. There are reported to be two very large fires: one between the villages of Vaskovo, Oryahovo and Georgi Dobrevo, and another one between the villages of Garvanovo and Tatarovo. The fires are located close to residential areas but for now, there is no reported risk to the population.
