This issue showcases some examples of Service activations, emphasising the usefulness of the products for decision-makers. The focus is on the most recent activations of the Emergency Response Service but also on the activities of Emergency Support Service. The latter receives much less publicity as it is less linked to headline news stories during a crisis, but it is nevertheless an important component of our service portfolio, addressing the preparedness, and recovery phases of disaster events.
