Who are the users and what are their roles ?
- The GMES Emergency Response Service is a user driven service. User community has therefore been strongly involved since the beginning of the Service's implementation in 2009, and prior to that, in precursor projects as Respond, Preview and Risk-EOS.
- The GMES Emergency Response Service is dedicated to serving two communities: The European Civil protection Agencies and the Humanitarian actors. In the pre-operational phase, the registered users can trigger the Emergency Response service, integrate the products into their operational chain and provide advises and feedbacks to continuously improve the service.
- As the GMES Emergency Response Service is becoming increasingly operational and known by the potential users, it is opening up to newcomers that are welcome to apply for this new Service: If you organization works in the field of humanitarian aid and disaster management and is involved at international level, don't hesitate to contact us and send an e-mail to: pub@gmes-emergencyresponse.eu with coteam@gmes-emergencyresponse.eu in cc.
